Sailormoon Fan Art

From Jupiter's Desk (early 1999)
Medium: Computer (I can't remember what program I used)
In Computer Essentials class, our assignment was to create a letterhead with our graphics rather than use the clip art graphics provided on our computers. This gave me the chance to "draw" Sailor Jupiter on the computer. Originally done in color, this is a black and white printout copy of the letterhead.

Jedi Knight Mako-chan (Sept. 22, 1999)
Medium: Pencil
The frenzy over the Star Wars prequel Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace jumpstarted a series of Star Wars-related drawings. Here, a Star Wars/Sailormoon crossover with Mako-chan (Makoto Kino) armed with her lightsaber.

A Touch of Tuxedo in the Night (June 21, 2001)
Medium: Pencil
A spoof of the famous pose from The Phantom of the Opera song number, “Music of the Night,” with Mamoru and Usagi as the Phantom and Christine Daae respectively. I thought of putting real eyes in Mamoru but I decided not to because I wanted him to be mysterious-looking like the Phantom. Besides, it’s kind of hard to see the Phantom’s eyes. By the way, could Mamoru/Tuxedo Kamen be related to the Phantom, since both are mysterious, wear white masks and tuxes, and carry red roses?

The Beautiful Luna (July 30, 2002)
Medium: Pencil
One of my favorite moments from the Sailormoon S Movie was Luna turning human for the first and only time in the anime version of Sailormoon. She looked so pretty I thought of creating her outfit but that will take some time so I drew this piece instead.

Super Sailor Saturn (Oct. 31, 2002)
Medium: Pencil
Based on a Sailor Senshi character quiz answer banner.

Sailor Pluto Sketch (Dec. 20, 2002)
Medium: Pencil
Originally, this was planned to be a sketch of Vampire Princess Miyu but it became Sailor Pluto instead.

Princess Jupiter Paper Bag (Mar. 2003)
Medium: Pencil, ink, Prang color pencils
While living in the UC Riverside dorms in my second year, my dormmates created paper bags to tape on our doors as a mailbox of sorts for our rooms. The drawing is similar to a picture I downloaded from the net except that picture has Jupiter with green hair. My name, Claire, was written by my resident hall advisors who created these bags.

Queen Serenity (Mar. 2003)
Medium: Pencil, Prang black ink, Prang watercolor paint
Princess Serenity's mother, moments before risking her life with the Silver Crystal.

Black Lady (Feb. 19, 2003)
Medium: Pencil, Prang color pencils
Chibi-Usa's evil alter ego, who is one of the coolest bad-a**es in the Sailormoon R series, though her English dub voice leaves a lot (and I mean, a lot) to be desired.

The Guardian of Time (Feb. 19, 2003)
Medium: Pencil, Prang color pencils
Two headshots of Sailor Pluto, one of them with Pluto's symbol on her forehead in place of her tiara.
