These are the businesses we used for the day. Of course we recommend them. Consider it free advertising.

  • flowers:

Wholesale Flowers
5305 Metro St.
San Diego, CA 92110
(619) 295-3444
(800) 600-8483

Buy just the flowers or have them assemble bouquets or displays. We spent $200 on flowers, since the church was already pretty much decorated.

  • photography:

Ken Randall
home office:
246 Ivy St.
San Diego, CA 92101

studio (by appt.):
2107 El Cajon Blvd.
San Diego, CA 92014
(619) 297-7236

Ken has a very reasonable fee for his services, is there for the whole day, and gives all the pictures he takes, with the option of buying the negatives. Highly recomended.

  • tableware:

San Diego Party Rentals
2648 Main St., Ste. D
Chula Vista, CA 91911
(619) 424-0007

Quick and inexpensive. We rented the tablecloths, dinnerware, and dance floor from here.

  • candles:

(stores at various locations)

Get whatever you need for arts and crafts. The stores we used were in the Bay Area and San Diego (Mission Valley).

  • catering:

3946 Illinois St.
San Diego, CA 92104
(619) 297-9666
(619) 297-9646 fax

Excellent food, just try one of their two San Diego restaurants. For the reception we ordered Steamboat Round, Kalua Pig, Teri Chicken Filet, Vegetable Yakisoba, and Red Rice and rented the chafing dishes. Plus, Ferdie Morales himself oversaw the serving of the food and other general services. Also highly recommended.

  • display wedding cake:

99 Ranch Market
(stores at various locations)

Good cake, but not as special as the cake served, so this was for display only. They do have good sheet cake available, which is not too sweet and has tropical fruits. The store we used is on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. in San Diego.

  • served wedding cake:

Kona Kakes
7595 Vickers St. Ste. 4
San Diego, CA 92111
(619) 656-6677

Excellent cake, in case you don't remember. We ordered the Banana Kiwi Caramel full sheet cake.
