Time and Space Visualiser: The Doctor Who Blog for KTEH - From 1981 to 2003, the San Francisco Bay Area PBS station KTEH aired Classic Doctor Who until budget cuts and lack of viewer support forced the show to be dropped. But from 2007 to 2009, Who returned to KTEH starting with the Ninth Doctor and in 2008, the Tenth Doctor. Also featured with the New Who is Doctor Who Confidential: Cut Down, a 15-minute behind-the-scenes look on the new series. The original version of Doctor Who Confidential is 30-45 minutes, which was edited ("cut down") to 15 minutes for rebroadcast and for licensing reasons because the original Confidential had Classic Who-era clips and some of the music could not be cleared for copyright. KTEH also produced several Who-related specials, three of them which were interviews with Patrick Troughton (the Second Doctor during the Classic Who-era from 1966 to 1969), Jon Pertwee (the Third Doctor, 1970-1974), and Tom Baker (the Fourth Doctor, 1974-1981). Only series 1 and 2 of the New Who aired on KTEH.

The Legion of Rassilon (club website) and Yahoo! Groups: Legion of Rassilon - San Francisco Bay Area DW fan club who have been around since 1982. Club meetings are held on the fourth Friday, and occassional fifth Friday, of every month screening Who episodes or related programs such as Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures. The club also volunteers at KTEH's on-air fundraising pledge drives.

Live Journal Community: Phanwank - The Doctor of the Opera (new link) - Links to LadyCDaae's riffing of a badly written Doctor Who/Phantom of the Opera fan fiction titled "The Doctor of the Opera." All parts of the fic are arranged chronologically, the earliest entry riffed is below the page while the latest is at the top. Numerous Who references throughout the riffing, which will go over the heads of those who do not follow the show, and the fic's riffs reference the original Who up to the end of series 2 (Tenth Doctor/Rose-era) since the riffs were done in 2006. I got a kick out of reading it since it combined one of my former interests/faves (Phantom) with one of my current ones (Who) and the riffing made the fic itself bearable to read. Even then, most parts of the fic are cringe-worthy for not only messing with two fandoms but also for the many grammar and punctuation mistakes.

Live Journal: PICSPAM - The Eight and Nine Double Feature - Or, Thirty Reasons Why Paul McGann and Christopher Eccleston Are Hotter Than David Tennant. A picture-heavy blog entry on what made the Eighth and Ninth Doctors more appealing than the Tenth Doctor. While I like Tennant, there's something about Eccleston and McGann that keep me amused and then some. For Eccleston, it's his brooding manliness, the manic grin, the Northern accent ("Lots of planets have a North!") and he was the first Doctor I saw. As the saying goes, "You never forget your first Doctor." For McGann, it's his gorgeous blue eyes and velvety voice, especially on how he would look with those eyes and how he would speak.

The Millennium Effect - Information archive on all Who-related material from TV interviews and specials, to the audio CD adventures, and VHS/DVD releases.
